Witness the boldness of Japanese Shunga Art from the Edo Period.

PULSE GALLERY Phaya Thai launches 1845 Japanese Shunga Exhibition, featuring unique and shameless portrayal of lovemaking, female sexuality, homosexuality, and sexual desire during the Edo period. The exhibition will feature Japanese Erotic Art Woodblock Print, collected from Japan and Austria, showcasing the true meaning of Japanese Shunga and its valuable contribution to the rich history of Japanese Art.

The PULSE exhibition of Shunga “spring pictures” illustrates, through the graphic images of sexual activity, the integral role Shunga played to humor and educate Edo Japan.

The goal of the exhibition is to raise awareness on sex positivity and to encourage people all over the world to be fearless and shameless of who you are and what you do.

Opening event will commence on 18 Mar 2022, 6:00 PM at PULSE Gallery – Phaya Thai. Live drag performances can be enjoyed from the famous drag queens of Bangkok, Kandyzyanide and Amadiva with beats from DJ Baby Bitch.

Ticket price to the opening party is at B500 inclusive of one (1) complimentary drink for every guest. Ticket also be available for sale at the door. Both online and walk-in guests are welcome.
