2022 Prime Day was the biggest Prime Day event for Amazon’s selling partners

Bangkok, July 20, 2022 – Prime Day 2022 was the biggest Prime Day event for Amazon’s selling partners globally, most of whom are small and medium-sized businesses, whose sales in Amazon outpaced Amazon’s global retail business over the same period.

Globally, Prime members purchased more than 300 million worldwide—making this year’s event the biggest Prime Day in Amazon’s history. Prime members worldwide purchased 100,000 items per minute during this year’s Prime Day event. Some of the best-selling categories worldwide this Prime Day were Amazon Devices, Consumer Electronics, and Home.

“Prime Day is a great opportunity for sellers to celebrate with Amazon’s 300 million customers. Prime day is not only a celebration of Amazon Prime members but also an opportunity for selling partners to gain customers through leveling up their brand awareness and build more sales performance for the rest of the year. This year, more than any other, we are happy to see sellers from Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket actively participating in this worldwide event, and we are thrilled to see Thai sellers continue to thrive year over year during Prime Day”. Said Jamie Brennan, Head of Amazon Global Selling in Thailand.

This year, to prepare Thai sellers for Prime Day, the Global Selling team in Thailand has initiated a series of consultations and training sessions. We also launched the Amazon Partnered Carrier Program, making it easier and more cost-effective for Thai sellers to ship their Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) products from Thailand to Amazon fulfillment centers in the US.

The best-selling categories from Thailand this Prime Day were Beauty, apparels and grocery.
