Bangkok fitness studio BASE reopens with a mission to help Bangkok bounce back
BANGKOK, 4 October 2021 – Bangkok fitness studio BASE, along with the rest of the city’s fitness industry, reopened its doors on Friday, 1st October after 5 months of closure.
2021 has been a tough year worldwide for gyms and fitness studios, with many operators going out of business. However, markets that have reopened after lengthy lockdowns, such as the US and UK, have seen record numbers of membership sales and gym visits.
“It’s been a very difficult time for both operators and their members, so we’re excited to be able to help people regain their health and strength,” said Jack Thomas, founder and CEO of BASE. “The data around the world is very clear – gyms and fitness centers, when managed properly, are safer than most other places. When you balance this with the clear mental and physical health benefits, we strongly believe gyms should be open.”
BASE is part of a gym and fitness operator group called the Thailand Fitness Alliance that is looking for more support for an important industry that keeps people strong, healthy and connected. The Alliance recently drafted a Covid-19 prevention plan for the sector, signed by BASE and other leading fitness operators, so that gyms can safely open and resume operations.
BASE is offering a 4-week Comeback Promotion for both group class and personal training at its three locations in central Bangkok. Group classes start at just 375 THB per session, with personal training from 1,700 THB. More information at can be found at http://basebangkok.com/
