Bangkok studio BASE launches game-changing fitness technology

BANGKOK, 29 October 2020 – BASE, winner of the ClassPass award ‘Bangkok’s Best Studio 2020’, is launching game changing fitness technology called BASELINE® which is set to transform group class training across Asia.

Essentially a ‘you against you’ system, BASELINE® is a web-based app that tracks improvement in cardio and strength and monitors changes in muscle mass and body fat percentage. The experience is steered by dedicated coaches in a fun and motivating group class environment.

Members enter their scores on tablets placed throughout the studio, with the stats displayed on a leaderboard. BASE coaches have access to your previous training data and, with this insight, make sure you are being pushed and you’re always improving, whatever your level.

After the class, members are emailed a breakdown of their class results and they can access a complete profile of their training and progress on a web-based application.

“Our training doesn’t just get you sweaty, but gets you real results delivered in a way you can clearly see your progress” said Jack Thomas, founder and CEO of BASE.

“BASELINE is the product of two years of research and conversation with our members. They love it – it’s fun, for all levels and helps our members hit their health and fitness goals. They also like the balance between human interaction and technology, as our coaches offer training and nutritional advice based on the data to ensure that progress never stops.”

With Google’s acquisition of FitBit and Peloton’s recent IPO, fitness technology is an area that’s receiving worldwide attention. BASELINE® offers a level of performance tracking and data that has not been seen before in group class fitness, putting Thailand on the map for fitness technology with a solution that helps people hit their goals faster.

BASELINE® is primarily about self-improvement, but for those motivated by competition it offers gamification of the training experience with leaderboards displaying the top scores of the day for men and women.

New developments planned include leagues, competitions and a tech-based personal training platform, with international expansion into the region’s leading fitness markets on the horizon for BASE.

BASE is offering a ‘50% off 1 month’ offer for new clients who want to try BASELINE®, which can be claimed at http://basebangkok.com/first-timer.
