Continental and Isolation Center in Rayong partner to help COVID-19 patients in Local Community

Donations of over 80,000 baht and 60 units of fingertip oximeters to Mae Nam Khu Subdistrict, Rayong Province
Full renovation of restrooms located in the isolation center to support COVID-19 patients and medical staff
Delivery of over 3,000 healthy lunch boxes to COVID-19 patients and medical staff throughout August – October

Bangkok, Thailand (September 10, 2021) – Continental Automotive Bangkok and Continental Tyres (Thailand) joined forces and partnered with the Local Community and Isolation Center in Mae Nam Khu Subdistrict, Rayong Province to support Covid-19 patients. The outreach is part of the local responsible citizenship initiative ‘Continental for the Community’ where the company and its employees actively engage in community projects.

Mr. Vignesh Devasenapathy, Continental Tyres Plant Manager, the representative of Continental group in Thailand along with a group of volunteers visited the Local Community and Isolation center and handed the donations to Mr. Seri Phancharoen, Mae Nam Khu Chief Administrator in the presence of community representatives. Continental and its employees donated around 80,000 baht as well as 60 units of fingertip oximeters. More than that, it committed to a delivery of over 3,000 healthy lunch boxes to COVID-19 patients and medical staff throughout August and October 2021 and ensured the renovation of restrooms located in the isolation center. “Thank you for caring about our community and supporting the operation of our local isolation center. We have received great help and cooperation from many sectors. This enables us to provide our service in support of public health,” Mae Nam Khu Chief Administrator Seri Phancharoen said.

“In a time of crisis such as this, we stand with our local communities to provide help and show our strong support. We have been providing our food boxes along with other donations from our employees since the isolation center first began operating in August and will continue to make every effort to provide our support as we strive to get through the crisis together as one team. This also leverages one of our core values: ‘for one another’”, said Mr. Vignesh Devasenapathy, Continental Tyres Plant Manager.
