Continental Celebrates Piling Ceremony for Additional Warehouse at its Tire Plant in Rayong, Thailand

19 April 2023, Rayong, Thailand, Continental celebrated the piling ceremony for groundbreaking of a new warehouse for green tires at its tire plant in Rayong, Thailand. The warehouse construction is part of the initial phase of the plant expansion, and will be gradually put in use from March 2024. With a total area of 2,000 square meters and a height of 32 meters, the green tire warehouse is planned to be equipped with state-of-the-art automation technology in the future to support the growth and expansion of tire production in Rayong plant to serve customers in global markets.
“The expansion of the plant is set in a flexible and agile setup and is an essential part of our long-term growth strategy. We aim to be the leader in tire manufacturing in Thailand in terms of advanced technology and sustainability in tire production,” mentioned Mr. Vignesh Devasenapathy, Plant Manager, Continental Tyres (Thailand).
Equipped with the most advanced tire production technology, the Rayong tire plant produces premium passenger, light truck, and motorcycle tires for customers worldwide. The size of the site is about 750,000 m² which potentially allows an expansion to up to 25 million tires capacity per year.
