Flower & Cosmos: The Universe Within (2)

Sakul Intakul

March 30 – May 15, 2023

River City Bangkok

(BANGKOK) – La Lanta Fine Art is pleased to announce the second part of the exhibition “Flower & Cosmos: The Universe Within” by Sakul Intakul which will be organized at River City Bangkok from March 30 to May 15, 2023.

Sakul Intakul is a renowned Thai floral artist who pivots his artistic expressions to contemporary art in 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional disciplines. As a next chapter to “Flower & Cosmos: The Universe Within (1),” which was recently unveiled at La Lanta Fine Art in Bangkok, Sakul continues his journey in developing visual arts that connect with the deep roots of Thai floral culture. The exhibition investigates the connectivity of individuals that make up the fabric of society with the analogy of a single flower forming an intricate floral net (Takhai Dokmai) in a traditional Thai floral design.

In “Flower & Cosmos: The Universe Within (2)”, Sakul presents a new series of paintings that makes reference to local Thai flowers and the traditional floral net. His geometric interpretation and the bravado of color choices suggest a contemporary narrative to the century old floral art.

“Flower & Cosmos: The Universe Within (2)” will be on display on the 3rd floor of River City Bangkok from March 30 to May 15, 2023. The opening reception will be organized on March 30, 2023 from 19.00 to 21.00 hrs.
