Have a roaring start to the Lunar Year of the Tiger
with UOB’s auspicious and environmentally-friendly red packets
Bangkok, 21 January 2022 – UOB Thailand has launched a suite of red packets featuring tigers in a vibrant forest to commemorate the new beginnings of strength, vitality and growth for the Lunar Year of the Tiger.
The theme of this year’s design is ‘Rich in Nature’, which celebrates the optimism of spring while raising awareness of environmental conservation. There is an interactive QR code printed on every red packet that viewers may scan to access an augmented reality experience and to learn about environmental protection.
The red packets from UOB Thailand are also printed on environmentally-friendly paper with auspicious dimensions of 168mm by 88mm and are sustainably-packed without single-use plastic. The Bank also used a belly-band instead of full envelopes to reduce paper consumption from its packaging. This is one way that the Bank is minimising waste and promoting resource conservation as it forges a sustainable future.
The Bank also invite customers in Bangkok’s Chinatown area to drop off their used red packets from 1 February to 15 March 2022 at the designated UOB upcycling boxes. They are located at the
UOB Thailand Headquarters on Sathon Road and Phetkasem Road and 10 UOB branches on Yaowarat Road.
Customers can collect these red packets at UOB Thailand branches nationwide.
