Bangkok, Thailand, November 10, 2020 – In a first for the Thailand warrants market, J.P. Morgan has issued derivative warrants linked to the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI), one of the benchmarks that reflects the overall performance of Mainland Chinese companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The new derivative warrants start trading today on the Thailand Stock Exchange, offering local investors broader investment opportunities to gain exposure to the China market.
The HSCEI warrants mark J.P. Morgan’s third foreign derivative warrants offering in the country, following the issuance of the Hang Seng and S&P 500 index warrants earlier this year. The launch makes J.P. Morgan the first and only issuer of foreign index warrants in Thailand that offers investors exposure to three overseas markets – China, Hong Kong and the United States – more than any other providers.
