Nissan launches special premium car program for workers supporting essential industries during COVID-19 pandemic

Front-line Thai medical staff and other essential workers can buy three vehicles
at a significant discount

BANGKOK, Thailand (May 5, 2020) – Nissan is offering front-line Thai medical staff and other essential workers special prices on three premium vehicle models under its ‘Care for You’ program to support essential industries during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nissan will offer qualifying customers the X-Trail 2.0V 4WD Hybrid, Terra 2WD V 7AT and the new Teana 2.0 XL at a significant discount. This special program runs from 1 May 2020 to 30 June 2020 and is subject to vehicle availability as well as other terms and conditions. Each model comes equipped with Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies, ensuring a safe and confident drive.

“This is a challenging time for all of us. We know that so many people, especially front-line medical staff and other essential workers, are hard at work to help mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic, save lives and help keep all of us safe,” said Ramesh Narasimhan, president of Nissan in Thailand. “This new program is designed to recognize and reward the critical contributions made by essential workers at this difficult time.”

Under this offer, prospective customers have the option to test-drive the vehicles from two days to two weeks from the comfort of their own homes or workplace. Interested customers can contact their nearest Nissan dealership for a test drive, via the website at or contact the Nissan Call Center at 0-2401-9600.

Once confirmed, their vehicle of choice is carefully disinfected for maximum safety before being delivered to their home or workplace – giving them the most convenient and safest test-drive environment possible.

Nissan’s nationwide dealership network currently remains open and committed to providing the best customer service possible under the company’s recently launched ‘Care for You’ relief program designed to support valued customers and ensure their continued safety during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The plan offers current and future customers safe and convenient vehicle test drive options, vehicle pickup services, and beneficial promotions at dealers and service centers.

Nissan is also taking additional steps to implement several key preventive measures for COVID-19 at Nissan showrooms and service centers across the country. These include disinfecting the service center every 30 minutes; temperature checking all employees and customers when they enter the dealership; ensuring that staff wear face masks at all times; providing alcohol gel throughout the premises; and consistently disinfecting key vehicle touchpoints like the steering wheel, gear shift, seats, door handles, and front console panels.
