Delving into the Depths of Existence: Liu Hsin-Ying’s ‘On Bare Land’ Exhibition at Richard Koh Fine Art Singapore
Richard Koh Fine Art Singapore (RKFA) is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition titled “On Bare Land,” featuring the works of Taiwanese artist Liu Hsin-Ying. The exhibition will be held from 16 March to 20 April 2024 at RKFA in Singapore.
Liu Hsin-Ying’s “On Bare Land” explores the concept of existence through pictorial language, transcending the boundaries of civilization and subsistence. The artist’s work challenges conventional norms and spatial configurations, inviting viewers to contemplate the essence of existence beyond rules and limitations.
In her statement for the exhibition, Liu shares, “I delineate how I think of existence through pictorial language on bare land, beyond the norms of civilization and the needs for subsistence, beyond rules, and ultimately outside the spatial configuration to which people are accustomed.”
The exhibition features a vibrant interplay of colours and lines, reminiscent of water and sound, creating a sense of expansiveness and fluidity. Through her art, Liu navigates between the past and the future, blurring the lines between reality and virtuality, ultimately conveying the exuberance and endlessness of life.
