Special evening part of the official BTHVN 2020 Project celebrating 250 years of Beethoven worldwide
Bangkok, 8 October 2020 — Opera Siam will host a stirring evening of music by the Siam Sinfonietta including Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony on October 17, 2020 at 7am in the Banyan Tree Bangkok Hotel ballroom. The program will also feature the Thai premiere of Haydn’s Little Organ Massquot; Stravinsky’s Symphonies of Wind Instruments, with the Calliope Chamber Choir and Barbara Zion (soprano).
Conducted by Somtow Sucharitkul, this concert is part of the official BTHVN 2020 Project celebrating 250 years of Beethoven around the world. Siam Sinfonietta and other youth ensembles will be playing all of Beethoven’s most celebrated symphonies over the coming year.
In-person audience will be limited for the event, although it will also be streamed either live or within a few days. Currently there are around 70 available seats with concert tickets priced at 500 baht (back and sides) and 800 baht (center).
A cash bar will one of Banyan Tree’s talented mixologists with cocktails and other refreshments available from 6pm with the audience seated by 7pm.
