Prudential Thailand at the forefront of well-being for Thai people

Ongoing support includes free dengue-fever coverage and more activities to look after
Thai society’s physical and mental health

Bangkok, Thailand 22 November 2021 – As a leading insurance company, Prudential Life Assurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited (Prudential Thailand) is focusing on the physical and mental well-being of Thai people. Prudential believes it is important to encourage Thai people and their families to look after their wellbeing, more so during these challenging times.

The effect on the mental health caused by lockdowns in Thailand cannot be ignored. According to
the latest NESDC news, stress and anxiety have gone up a significant level and are leading to increased mental health problems in Thailand. Prudential has recognized the increased need for care and has provided resources since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020. A wellness campaign to support the health and well-being of Thai people was launched by creating MEME stories and GIFs with light-hearted content to help spread happiness, without ignoring the realities that the Thai people face. Working from home has led to increased loneliness, strain on health, and feeling isolated. This MEME campaign by Prudential supports Thai people by creating positive conversations on mental health.

In addition, to help Thailand face this challenge together, as part of its ‘We DO Well Together’ campaign, a new pillar, ‘We DO More’ was launched. Prudential not only helps the Thai people in the fight against COVID-19, but also protects them against other diseases, especially a seasonal disease like dengue fever. According to the latest research from Thailand’s Department of Disease Control, it is found that from
1 January to 6 September 2021, there were 6,689 cumulative cases infected with dengue fever in Thailand. PRUDengue provides comprehensive dengue fever protection that includes 20,000 Baht lump sum coverage upon diagnosis and 50,000 Baht in the event of death from all causes1 2, plus an additional 50,000 baht if death is caused by dengue3.
