#TalkingAbout Art Beyond the exciting roster of exhibitions and activities, Singapore Art Gallery Weekend offers an engaging educational component with a series of lectures. Designed to provide a deeper understanding of the art world and art collecting, these lectures cover a range of topics, from art history to investment in the art world and the art ecosystem, as well as the intersections between art, craft and design offering invaluable insights to art lovers and collectors alike.

We envisioned Gallery Weekend in September 2023 as another chapter in Singapore’s arts calendar, offering an alternative rhythm to the popular Art Week in January”, notes Ms. Audrey Yeo, President of AGAS. “This unique event showcases the unwavering dedication of galleries throughout the year, emphasizing their commitment to presenting exceptional art content across the island. Unlike Art Week, which revolves around the art fair, Gallery Weekend invites art enthusiasts to embrace a decentralized experience, exploring galleries and events on foot and immersing themselves in the myriad visual and cultural experiences throughout our city.”

Singapore Art Gallery Weekend 2023 is made possible through the support of AGAS members, affiliates and various partners, whose contributions underscore the importance of art and culture in Singapore’s society. The event serves as a testament to Singapore’s commitment to nurturing creativity, fostering innovation, and positioning itself as a leading cultural hub in the region.
