SiS Distribution becomes First AWS Distributor in Thailand
Bangkok, October 19, 2021 – SiS Distribution (SiS), a leading value-added IT distributor in Thailand which services over 7,000 partners, today announced that it has joined the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Distribution Program as an AWS Distributor. SiS will be the first AWS Distributor in Thailand for AWS’s commercial segment, driving digital growth by providing AWS services to an expanding base of Thai partners.
With the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, customers are looking to digitally transform, resulting in tremendous growth of the public cloud market. Gartner forecasts that worldwide end-user spending on public cloud services will grow to reach $332.3 billion, up from $270 billion in 2020. The Infrastructure-as-a-Service market is predicted to grow to $82 billion, up 38.5% from the last year.
The shifting trend in business IT spending puts enormous pressure on traditional IT resellers who still rely on selling software and hardware equipment. While some of the resellers are starting to transform themselves to become cloud consulting partners, many still need to address a technical skills gap in the workforce.
