Thai Vietjet and TTAA host SKY CONNECTION – VIETNAM 2022

(Bangkok, July 27, 2022) – Thai Vietjet, in collaboration with the Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA) and Viet Nam Tourism Exchange (VNTE), hosted ‘SKY CONNECTION – VIETNAM 2022’, reconnecting Thailand and Vietnam and stimulating international travel recovery after the relaxation of travel measures between both countries, on July 27, 2022, at Sofitel Sukhumvit Hotel, Bangkok, presided by H.E. Phan Chi Thanh, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand.

‘SKY CONNECTION – VIETNAM 2022’ enabled hotels, amusement complexes, travel agencies and tour operators from Thailand and Vietnam to reconnect again after long break of the pandemic, with opportunities to introduce new products and services, exchange business information, business match, and establish new partnership to grow together and support the tourism industry of both countries.

“For the first time after the long break of Covid-19, ‘SKY CONNECTION – VIETNAM 2022’ offers the opportunity to businesses in the field of tourism and hospitality between Thailand and Vietnam to reconnect and match with each other, joining hands towards the recovery of the tourism between the two countries. We are very proud to proactively take part in those valued activities for the industry” said, Mr. Pinyot Pibulsonggram, Thai Vietjet’s Head of Commercial.

During the event, over 150 participating companies had the opportunity to explore Vietnam’s tourism re-opening with the introduction of various destinations in Vietnam, including top destinations of Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Da Lat, Quang Nam, Hue, and Quang Ninh, as well as to see the introduction of various tourism business operators in Thailand and Vietnam, including theme parks, travel agencies, tour operators, resorts and hotels.

In addition, participants had a chance to enjoy lucky draws with complimentary air tickets from Thai Vietjet and hotel vouchers throughout the event during the B2B sessions.

Currently, vaccinated foreign travelers entering Vietnam are no longer required to have negative result of the Covid-19 test or any quarantine.

Established in 2014, Thai Vietjet has been cooperating with Vietjet to extend its flight network and provide more opportunities for travelers to discover Thailand and many other countries with its hospitable and enjoyable service. The Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA), which was established in 1984, is a gathering of outbound tour operators and air ticket sales distribution agencies. The main objective is to promote and raise the standards of the aforementioned business members. Since its establishment, TTAA has had a role in promoting and creating stability for BSP agents and outbound tour businesses. This has been the major objective of the Association since its founding. Also, TTAA has cooperated with other tourism organizations in promoting the Thai tourism industry to develop and have strength up to the present time. TTAA has achieved its goal of having a total of 780 members comprising operators nationwide.
