Thai Vietjet to launch Bangkok – Phu Quoc from THB 2,999

(Bangkok, August 22, 2022) Offering further opportunities and flexible travel choices to its passengers after the travel restrictions have been lifted, Thai Vietjet announces its new international services from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) to Phu Quoc (Vietnam), starting from October 12, 2022.

“We are delighted to further connect Thailand with one more top travel destination of Vietnam – ‘Phu Quoc’, the emerging island in the south of the country, providing Thai people more opportunities and flexible choices to travel to Vietnam, as well as welcoming Vietnamese tourists to Thailand. Since tourism is on its track to returning to the pre-pandemic level, we strongly believe that the service between the two destinations would help facilitate the region’s growing travel demand and stimulate the trade recovery of both countries, particularly, the international tourism industry and aviation business” said Mr. Woranate Laprabang, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Vietjet.

In the beginning, the new international service from Bangkok to Phu Quoc will operate 4 flights a week every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with an approximate flight duration of 1 hour 15 minutes and following flight schedule:

Origin Destination Departure Arrival Days of Operation
VZ980 Bangkok Phu Quoc 09:45 11:00 Monday/Wednesday/Friday/Sunday
VZ981 Phu Quoc Bangkok 12:00 13:20

To celebrate the inauguration of the new international service, the airline is also launching a special promotion ‘Deluxe Super Sale’, offering special deluxe fares starting from THB 2,999 (inclusive of taxes, fees, and surcharges) for traveling on Thai Vietjet’s new international service between Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) – Phu Quoc. The special deluxe service includes 20 kg of checked baggage, free seat selection, priority check-in and flexibility with unlimited flight changes at no charge. This special promotion is available for booking from 25 – 31 August 2022, with a travel period from September 15, 2022 – March 25, 2023 (terms and conditions applied).

Vietnam has proven as one of the top tourist destinations in Asia-pacific, with its beautiful landscape and unique culture. Phu Quoc, in particular, is known as the largest island located in the south of Vietnam, with tropical and transparent turquoise water, a floating village, cable cars, a variety of nature, and rich culture. Bangkok, on the other hand, has a stunning view of the boat-filled Chao Phraya River, the spectacular Grand Palace, and numerous lively night markets.

In addition, Thai Vietjet, in cooperation with Vietjet Group, has operated stable flight services between Thailand and Vietnam: from Bangkok to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang, together with flight from Phuket to Ho Chi Minh city.

Thai Vietjet has continuously expanded its international flight network to many top tourist destinations including Fukuoka (Japan), Phu Quoc (Vietnam), Taipei, and Ahmedabad (India), offering more opportunities and flexible travel choices, as well as further increasing its flight frequencies to facilitate the network expansion and the rising travel demand.

Passengers can book Thai Vietjet air tickets for both domestic and international services at special rates from Vietjet Air’s website (, the Vietjet Air mobile app, Facebook ( (“Booking” section)) and the airline’s global ticket agencies. For more information or updates on flight schedules, visit
