Chiang Mai Talent Competition: Your Stage Awaits!
CHIANG MAI, 9 April 2024 – Lights, camera, action! Glom, Chiang Mai’s groundbreaking theatre group, is on the search for its next big star, and it could be you!
Introducing Chiang Mai Talent, this year’s most anticipated talent competition, designed to uncover the diverse and vibrant talent hidden in Chiang Mai. Positioned as a series of themed talent shows, each episode will be filmed in front of a celebrity judging panel with a focus on a specific talent style and winners announced the same day.
The first episode will be filmed on 27 April 2024 and is focused on finding Musical Theatre talent, with Thai actor and singer Witwisit “Pchy” Hiranyawongkul and British theatre extraordinaire David Cartwright as guest judges.
Same day cash prizes await the victorious, with the first prize winner taking home 15,000 THB and the runner-up 5,000 THB. But that’s not all – winners will also earn the chance to perform at the grand GLOM Talent Show Extravaganza in December 2024 and earn paid work with Glom on future projects.
Episode 1 of Chiang Mai Talent is calling for all Musical Theatre enthusiasts – whether you’re a dancer, a singer, or an actor, we want to see what you’ve got.
This is not just another talent show; it’s a celebration of Chiang Mai’s unique flair and artistic spirit, with the aim of finding the BEST TALENT the city has to offer.
Audition Details:
- Type of Audition: Musical Theatre Performance (Dancing, Singing, and Acting)
- Live Judge Panel Audition Date: Saturday, 27 April 2024
- Who Can Audition? Solo artists or groups, performances in both Thai and English accepted
- Eligibility: Open to all levels and abilities – the more diverse the better!
- Audition Submission Deadline: Before 20 April 2024

- Audition Format: Please record your audition in landscape orientation in a quiet and clean space. Your performance could be featured on the TV show!
