Bangkok, April 10, 2024 –The innovative mental health festival “We’re Being เป็น อยู่ คือ(เรา)” hosted by The Nook, created by Love Frankie, a social impact agency, has successfully concluded its four-day event with impressive participation numbers, exceeding expectations.

Over the course of the event, over 1,000 individuals actively participated. The festival featured over 100 activities which included 87 workshop sessions, wherein 74 dedicated workshop facilitators and 1,178 participants attended, indicating repeat participants who found immense value in multiple sessions.

“We are overwhelmed by the positive response and the eagerness of participants to engage in meaningful dialogue and activities surrounding mental health,” said a spokesperson for The Nook. “Seeing such high numbers not just in attendance but in active participation truly indicates the need and appreciation for such a platform.”

The festival aimed to shed light on the importance of mental health and well-being through a variety of workshops, talks, and interactive experiences. The impressive turnout and the active involvement of the participants are a testament to the growing awareness and commitment to mental health in Thailand.

During the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Tavida Kamolvej, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, said that the lifestyle of Bangkok people is so hectic from work that sometimes they are stressed without even realizing it. From the health examination policy of 1 million people, now more than 100,000 people have been examined, and more than 70% have stress. They need friends and space to talk. When we have statistics like this on stress, we must not ignore them. Therefore, having an activity like this is very satisfying because any form of mental health space is made to create a safe space for everyone. We want to make mental health accessible to everyone.

“We believe that “We’re Being” festival has started an important conversation and strengthened the community’s dedication to understanding and supporting mental well-being. The success of this festival has laid a strong foundation for future events and initiatives,” the spokesperson added.
