Bangkok, 16 October 2020 – Siam City Insurance (“SCI”), general insurance provider in Thailand founded in 1948, has changed its name to FWD General Insurance Public Company Limited (“FWD General Insurance”) and has rebranded accordingly. The rebrand follows the acquisition of Bangkok-based SCI in December 2019.
SCI’s policies will be underwritten and delivered by FWD General Insurance, leveraging its best-in-class insurance platform and extensive experience to enhance existing operational capabilities and better serve the evolving needs of customers in Thailand with a strong focus on digital insurance.
FWD General Insurance is a part of the digital general insurance offering of bolttech, an international insurtech business under the Pacific Century Group alongside FWD Insurance.

Existing customers of SCI are not affected by the rebrand and will continue to receive protection, benefits and customer services in accordance with the terms of their policies, honoured by FWD General Insurance.
